Amp upgrade to improve CD music playback

I am looking to upgrade my Arcam AVR250 Amp. My source is from an ArcamFMJ29, which I use for music and movies. My priority lies with music and hence looking for an upgrade to the amplification. Not sure which way to go. Arcam A90 with a 7.1 board and a P90/3 channel amp or a higher quality AV amp?

Any suggestions or recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

Think I would wait for the AVR250/350 replacements to come out with the latest codecs and decide what to do then...
