advice needed

hi

i need some advice

i used to had b&w 603 with harmon cardon amp 7x75 (got stolen)

still have my center 2x subs and surrounds(all b&w)

i am thinking of getting 683 with harmon avr 660 amp will the amp be powerfull enough

or should i go for the cm7 what harmon amp will power these

please advice

The 683s are pretty easy to drive, so should work well with the AVR660 receiver.

also i planning to use my ps3 for a dvd /blueray player is this a good idea or should i get a proper dvd/blueray player

The CM7 are very good, but the 683 will have a better tonal match with the rest of the speakers you have.

The PS3 is fine as a BD player, given its other abilities, but you will get better results with a dedicated BD machine such as the Sony BDP-S760.

i am going for a smaller harmon amp with a 200wx5 poweramp on the 683 do you think that is overkill

I'd be going for an integrated receiver along the lines of Onkyo TX-SR876, Sony STR-DA5400ES or 5500ES, higher end Denons or Yamahas or something similar in the £1000-£1500 bracket...
