Not sure if this was mentioned before but the company is launching a new series which, unlike the current range, could actually look good in a living room.

As I can't seem to post pictures (or links) on this godforsaken new forum format which must have been designed by a real sadistic individual (or group) you can google by entering Abrahamsen Vendetta after the company name if interested.

regards

Apparently, the Vendetta series was already announced in 2012. *scratch_one-s_head* That may be even longer than the Ruby DAC from Creek. And the A-DAC III from this series already looks somewhat under-specified with projected 96KHz/24-bit USB input.

Also, I noticed a while ago that some of their products are not available in their online shop—and it doesn't seem to have changed. And this site, that appears to be of a dealer, lists some of their supposedly current products as discontinued. With few products available to buy, most being advertised as discontinued, and the new series clearly very delayed, I wonder what they are really selling at the moment.

The new series looks good. But in addition to what would appear to be lack of capacity to execute, there seems to be also a lack of reviews on their products.

There is a clearance of current range units for quite cheap prices in their online store. As for the delay on the new production, it is a small company and they are obviosly strugling to find their new identity apart from Electrocompaniet. It's a transition that takes time. The new amplifiers have new faceplates on the preview renditions, no idea if there are significan't changes inside.

Should they build another 'Electrocompaniet' from scratch or go Hi-End, building on top of the heritage and pedigree they have, selling as 'Per Abrahamsen Signature'?

It has been quite a wait for the new range , but as Vladimir said it is a small company and nothing in Norway is done hastily .

Noboby in Norway ever works more than forty hours a week and never at weekends unless they are in a service industry , everything in Norway is about quality of life and having time to enjoy things like being with your family and friends and of course music and HiFi and fishing , it could not be a more different culture to the UK *smile*

Norwiegian products reflect this lifestyle and much time and effort is put into making them the best they can possibly be or they will never see the light of day !

Judging by the spec there are some internal changes but I have no idea what they are .*smile*

That's very good. You should email it to them.

Thanks. I doubt they would find any use of it. They are by now many thousands of euros deep into their new branding and design.

But here is one with dot matrix just for you active speaker chaps. You can't get one of those on your boxed in amp.*wink*
