i've had my GT30 about a year now, and over the last month or so the two middle fans seem to have got louder, i phoned richersounds and they said they can send someone out to have a look, but it will cost me £30, or i could call panasonic, whitch i did, first call i was on the phone twenty minutes, then got cut-off, second call they said they would ring me back, and never have, does anyone no anyway of quieting down the fans, as i love the tv, apart from the fan niose.

What i noticed with my 42GT30 when i had it repaired was that when the screen was replaced and the tv returned to me they had cleaned out all the dust that had accumulated over time in the fans and that made a real difference to the fan noise, you could try some of that air in a can you can get for cleaning computer keyboards etc to blow the dust away and see if that makes a difference. If i remember correctly you cant actually get a cloth in there as the ventilation holes prevent this but i'm sure a quick clean will help matters.
Of course if that doesn't solve the issue then you will have to get the tv looked at by Panasonic or Richer Sounds, it's one of the moving parts on the tv and is therefore more likely to suffer from wear and tear but shouldn't be an expensive repair as long as the problem is with the fans themselves and not with excessive heat build up. It could also be the case that during the hot weather we have had lately that the tv is having to work harder to keep cool and therefore the fans are working harder creating more noise.
