5.5m room, Sky watcher only - Which TV??

Hi,

Looking to get a new TV for a room of the above size. Will be viewing from over 4.5m.

Will be running the sound through an amp and floorstanders so not bothered about sound.

Don't watch blu-rays. Will be getting Sky HD but watch all channels not just the HD ones.

Question is 46" or 50" needed (I'm assuming 42" is too small), and then which brand??, budget around £1200ish.

id check out the samsung 46b650 and sony 46w5500 lcds and panasonic 46g10 plasma ....

Definitely 50" at that distance, and you dont really need a 1080p panel, you would need to sit closer than 3m to see the extra detail.

So save some money and look at the Panny P50X10 (£750/800) or if you insist on 1080p then look at the P50G10.
