3D Capable High End Recievers? TBA?

Hi Forum Members,

I am very close to being in a position to make my AV upgrade shortly. I will be looking at most likely the Yamaha Z11 to match my PL300 Surround Package.

However with all this talk about 3D and how it will be the next thing, I was wondering if these high end AV Amplifiers from Yamaha, Denon, Pioneer, Arcam etc will have either a firmware or hardware upgrade option to be future proof with the impending 3D revolution.

I would hold off for a few months if you are looking at this level. There will be several products you may wish to consider.

Buy a 3D BDP with dual HDMI outputs. Doesn't matter if your receiver is 3D capable or not then.

Big Chris - Id prefer a AV Amp that has the capability to prevent future headaches. e.g. PS3 and Xbox only have 1 output HDMI and yet will be 3D capable
