Hi All,I want to buy a 32-inch LCD around £600 mark.I can afford the last generation Panasonic TX32LXD700 or this generation? TX32LZD80 or the TX-32LXD85.In an ideal world the Philips pfl9632 would still be available for not too much but as it’s getting more rare the price goes up..Which would you recommend? Thanks
Damian

I saw a Sony KDL32D3000 for just £549 in an Empire direct store just yesterday. That is a damn fine price for a damn fine TV.

Thanks Strodo,

I'm probably going to get one of the new panasonics - Is the 32LXD85 better than the 32LZD80? Been reading up on them on the forums and in the panasonic release article from Feb 2008. From what I can tell the LXD85 is numerically higher than the LZD80 but has a lower resolution.

Does it have better processing/images? I'm not bothered about sound as everything goes through my pioneer amp. I'm purely concerned with the images. SD at mo then HD going forward when I build a HTPC.

The 85 model has the 100hz processor so it handles fast action extremly well (ive seen it with my own eyes and its well impressive) so if you watch lots of that type of content probably best to go for that one. They done a review of the 80 model on this site and theres a review of the 85 on Trusted Reviews . Com.

Thanks,

I've read the reviews on TR site (not sure if am allowed to mention them!!). Was unsure of whether to go for the old TX32LXD700's from last year as TR loved that one as well... I found a site selling graded ones for £550 and Richersounds in Belfast has them for £660 new

Will head down to shops at weekend and see them in person (hopefully convince my wife that 37" isnt too big for our house) failing that I'll order me an 85.

Cheers
