3 choices!

Spent another day trailing round trying to decide which TV to buy! Narrowed it to 3......Panny 46PZ81, Panny 46PZ85 or Sony KDL-46W4500. 2 plasmas versus 1 LCD. Don't really need Freesat and have full Home Cinema so TV sound doesn't matter so is the PZ85 better than the PZ81?? Sony looked great in the Sony Centre but concerned about the screen quality issues. Wanted the PZ81 but doesn't appear to be in stock on line in many places. Need a new TV this week as my current one will be gone soon!

Any thoughts and HELP would be appreciated!!

I was in a similar situation, thought I had my mind set on the KDL 40W4500. Great set, according to the forums though the 46" version suffers quite bad clouding. I was all for lcd, then saw the PZ81 and was blown away. Having said that it was being displayed on its own on HD.

Went to a well known electrical retailer and SAW the PZ81 / PZ85B andthe W4500 next to each other. The W4500 ( in my opinion) looked washed out colour wise. The Z81 and Z85 were miles better. Between the two I dont need freesat so I am going for the PZ85B.

The PZ81 and PZ85 are really the same PQ. The difference is in the bells and whistles. Z81 has the Freeesat tuner and plays video from the SD card and has picture -in-picture, different HDMI layout (Z85 has one at side, Z81 one at the front), 85 has BBE surround sound and different styling at the front.

If you dont want Freesat then the Z85 makes sense, unless you really want PIP.

Thanks guys. I've decided on the PZ81 as it has the same features plus Freesat......in a year or 2 I reckon this will take off big style!
