dim_span:mains cables r us:JoelSim:dim_span:JoelSim:Er you could start by looking at the reviews section above. I gather all the WHF testers are either deaf, deluded or on the take as they can hear significant differences too.
Hmmmm ... after reading the SHB review, The Gotham review and the Tacima review, I'm not so sure anymore .... that's why I included the 'independant' reviwers
None of those reviews surprised me in the slightest.
hey joel
I think I put a Nordost ECO 3 wipe in with your vishnu, now that should stir up a hornets nest, the ECO 3 wipe is
supposed to improve system performance by removing static form the surface of your cables, how about that then!
and Gordon Brown was supposed to solve the world's economic problems ....
Gordon Brown is a toad, always has been, always will be.
On another, similar, note. I listen to my current speakers with grilles off as it affects the sound. My last speakers I listened with them on as it made no difference. Cables, like anything else are completely dependent on what kit you have, what you want to achieve, synergies etc etc.
It really annoys me that people dismiss stuff as snake oil when they haven't even tried things, it's like me saying that M&S bras are rubbish because my mate Dave told me. How the hell am I supposed to be able to have a valid opinion on them.
I have also tried many cables, some were poor, some were good in my personal situation. And I agree that £500 is an awful lot of money to spend on a mains cable, and no I currently wouldn't pay that because I can make bigger differences elsewhere, but the £74 I spent on a Nordost Shiva was money extremely well spent.
