I love Northern Soul. I got the old Motown Chartbusters volume 1 -12, for £20 the other day. James Jameson was an absolute giant of a bass player. Being a Bass guitar player myself I got the book with all the music scores of his bass lines and learned a few. That was difficult I had to brush up on my sight reading ha ha.

Jaco Pastorius.... absolutely. He was so, so, so, so awesome on a bass that words can hardly even do justice to his talent.
What's heartbreaking is that he was beaten to death outside a nightclub for mouthing off.
