Yamaha YDS-11SL Universal iPod Dock - Work with iPhone?

I have a Yamaha RX V1-900 and want to get a dock so that I can play songs from my iPhone. I was wondering if the Yamaha dock works with the iPhone?

It doesn't seem to say on the website.

Which iphone have you got? A friend of mine has a Yamaha RX-V3900 & an iphone 3G. It works. Occasionally, it shows the message: "Unknown ipod" instead of "ipod connected". He power cycles the iphone & reconnects it which solves the problem.

I think Amazon sells it the cheapest at £50

Thanks - I've got the standard iPhone but will probably upgrade to the iPhone 3G soon. Yeah I was considering buying it from Amazon but wanted to make sure it was compatable.

Perhaps I will give it a go - I can always send it back to Amazon.

You may want to try putting the phone in flight mode before docking it.

.... also will the YDS-11SL work with the older RXV-1800?

The connections appear to be the same as for the YDS-10SL so I hope so.....
