HELP!!!

I am looking for an upgrade from a Yamaha RXV 520 and am considering these two as possible options.

I appreciate it is a bit like comparing chalk and cheese, but a popular HiFi retailer has them on sale for a similar price.

My question is, anyone have any opinions, professional or otherwise about which would be the preferred route.

My feelings are like this, my previous 2 AV receivers were Yamahas and I loved them. But! The HK is a beautiful looking piece of kit and the original price point for this model is much higher than the Yamaha. We all know however that price does not necessarily mean performance.

Help, anybody, please...

My current speakers are: B&W DM610i Front, JPW Mini Monitors at the back, a Wharfedale (quite old may be replacing) center and a big passive Gale Sub.

I am also considering a power amp to allow me to run the sub from the dedicated sub pre out available on most AV receivers, any suggestions?

Granted it is a setup not necessarily for the purist, but I am looking for something that can drive these speakers well.
