Yamaha RX-V1900 v. Marantz 6300

Which would you recommend for AE Aelite 5.1 (on-wall x4 + centre + sub)

I know the Yamaha is probably the higher regarded but the Marantz is £200-300 cheaper (and available)? Which best suits the speakers?

Cheers.

MUSICRAFT:

Hi k_m

Imo the Yamaha as i believe it will be a better (amongst other aspects) tonal match with the AE speakers.

Thanks

Thanks, thought as much. I was hoping you'd say "get the marantz, great match!"

Do musicraft have a rx-v1900 in stock? Would the cheaper 863se do these speakers justice?

Hi k_m

The Marantz is good but i believe the Yamaha will be even better.

The DSP-AX863SE is an excellent amp and would suffice but with your speakers the RX-V1900 and (if your budget allows) the RX-V3900 would really allow the speakers to shine.

We are currently out of the RX-V1900 at the moment (have them on order and should receive them from Yamaha's next delivery as we have been previously). DSP-AX863SE and RX-V3900 are in stock.

I hope this helps.

Thanks

How would you compare the rx-v3800 with the rx-v1900 (rx-v3900 is out of budget)

Are there any rx-v3800 left in stock?

kuro_man:How would you compare the rx-v3800 with the rx-v1900 (rx-v3900 is out of budget)There are a couple of benefits to the 1900 over the 3800 - mainly a few secondary features, but the multi-point auto setup seems to give it a slight edge soundwise over the 3800 - but it's minimal. Hearing them separately you'd not really notice.

Are there any rx-v3800 left in stock? Our last ones were sold last October! After that we couldn't get any more, so I doubt you'll find any in stock anywhere now. You'll probably need to delve into the used market for them, which seem to go about £650/700. Still a cracking amp though.
