Yamaha HTR5440 repair vs Rx-v377

Hello,

I have recently been given a HTR5440 that only has one channel working. I am wondering whether it is worth trying to repair it or buy an rx-v377?

I am new to alot of this so can not really compare the two as this is to replace the inbuilt speakers on my computer and is my first dalliance into the world of audio. They are too be used to hook up with a pair of mission 770 and a Gale central 1.

Thanks for the reply. Just looking at the specifications, is either in a different budget bracket? Is the HTR5440 significantly better than the later offering in the rx-v377?

As far as I'm aware, HTR5440 does not decode HD audio codecs. Also, it doesn't have HDMI inputs. So yes, 377 will be better.

Buy rx-v377 bcz bcz I did not think repair thing can work good or long term.
