Yamaha 763 with wharfedale diamonds

Will diamond 9.1 speakers integrate well as front speakers in a surround set-up with 9.0 speakers as centre and rears, with SW150 as sub (basicly the 5 star 9.0 HCP system with the 5 star 9.1 as front speakers)? My nearest hi-fi shop has sold all stock of 763, including one that would have been used to demo these speakers. I will be using pre-outs to a Yamaha amp and CD player to use same front speakers for stereo. Thanks!

I can't answer for the amp but I ran the 9.0 HCP with a denon 1906 and upgraded the front left and right to the diamond 9.1's. They integrated well and there was a noticeable improvement in quality particularly with music. I did find that with movies I was losing dialogue and soon upgraded the centre as well to a Diamond 9 cm. This made a big difference. Hope that helps.
