hi all iam gonna get my daughter a cd player, amp and speakers for christmas.i just bought a cambridge 540a amp on ebay. so i guess a cambridge 340 cd player from richer sounds is next on list. now which speakers will match up well with these seperates. i like the ma br2 but not sure this will match up. she is 12 years old and she likes rock music all i ever hear is some band called my chemical romance. im not averse to second hand or changing cd player choice or speaker choice. all opinions and advice will be greatly appreciated. thanks in advance

The Monitor Audio BR2s (£200) would be good, but also consider the Mordaunt Short Avant 902i (£150) speakers: a great match tonally and genre-wise - they like to party.... I'd suggest the 540C CD player if you can stretch to it, as it's slightly more capable than the 340C - though this is a cracking entry-level player.
