Worst value for money hifi component you ever bought

I had not cottoned on to the age of the Pioneer. Glad to hear about the VDAC, which remains my next hifi purchase. Though to get back onto the thread I am saving for a new hard drive as the one I have is 320gb, and now I understand fully about music files, lossless etc it is no where near big enough. Though, as storage space just gets smaller and cheaper anyway, Murphys Law means that any computer etc you by for hifi will be limited in its long term value.

Not really hifi, but my iPod Classic 120g - worst sounding iPod I ever got, should have got the Nano or Touch.

Which says a fair bit for my rDock - it flatters the iPod.
