Wireless surround speakers

Hi,

i have just moved into an open plan house and I cannot hide my surround speaker cables anymore as the house has tiled floors. Are there any wireless speakers that I could use as decent surround speakers?

Hi Eric,

What's your budget? I heard a pair of Devialet Phantoms last week and they are amazing, but the hub (not sure if this is the correct name for it) can drive a full surround system, so obviously you buy 5 speakers, and they are developing 7 speaker capability. You'll not need a sub as this is handled from the inbuilt twin sub units. The sound is amazing, but price is not cheap, unless you factor in that you don't need an AV Amp.

I'm sure there are other more affordable options which the others on this forum can suggest. It would be helpful also if you describe what you want to retain from your current system and how you want to use your setup, watching movies, music, etc.

There will always be cables. If it's not speaker cables, it'll be mains cables. True wireless would mean running on batteries, which isn't really practical.
