i just got a Sony KDL-40W4500 can i just connect a wireless network cable to the tv and to the router and ues my laptop through the tv help thanks
 
Hmm, okay, let's break this up to what you're trying to do - do you want to use your TV as a monitor for your laptop? If so, what you need is either a DVI-HDMI lead or a standard VGA cable (see pictures below for examples) - this depends on what laptop you have and what outputs it has.

Nope, there's no way I know you could do that. According to the WHF spec, the TV does have two phono audio in sockets. In theory, assuming you're using iTunes on your laptop and your laptop has a wireless network card, you could therefore use an Airport Express connected to your TV via a 3.5mm to RCA phono cable. You could then stream the music from iTunes to the Airport Express and this would then output to the TV.

It's definitely worth investigating whether this will work before spending though as I've not heard of this being done before! An easy test would be just to connect the laptop directly to the phono in on the TV and see if this works. If it does, I can't see any reason why the Aiport Express method wouldn't work.
