My tv is a pioneer pdp4270xd it has only the1 hdmi,

I currently have an all in 1 pioneer xddv77 home cinema 5.1 dvd speaker system(approx 8 yr old) with cd/dvd/tuner i also have sky+HD

What i need to know is can i run the home cinema system through a sony bdp s5000es until i get the sony amp and new speakers

Also if so what would the best way to wire

What cables would you recommend

I would connect the BDP5000 to the TV via HDMI to get the best PQ. I think the xdvd77 only has1 s-video out anyway.

Then run the audio through the optical digital input.

The end result will not be stellar - but it should hold you over for a little while, till you get the rest of your kit.

Probably make you want to get it all sooner too!!!
