Or will there be there be a sonic mis-match..?

My dealer is telling me to save money on RXFX and go for BXFX.What do you guys say ?

Here we go again..

No point in asking others what they think about sound. Listening preferences are so varied.

Your money, your ears.

Anyway, I would save a bit more and match with the rxfx. also you will have the same wood as well, you wont with the BXFX.

Much better quality, you wont regret it, plus you will but the BXFX and then you will want to upgrade to the RX when you have the money

I agree with Canada....splash the cash in the RXFX and be done.

Surely, the purpose of a Forum is for people to ask for help& opinions, otherwise no point in there being one.

I use Monitor Audio Bronze as rears with Silvers for the front and it works well. However unless its really putting a strain on your budget I'd have the RXFX.

You'll be forever wondering "what if ?" and as said above will probably upgrade to the RX later on anyway.

Strange for the dealer to encourage you to sepnd less in this way. I would trust that MA know what they're doing, otherwise why bother making the RXFX at all when the BX will do just fine.

I have to say name calling really is not on, and in the OPs defence, if you don't ask you don't learn!

If we never asked questions when we don't understand anything, we would never get any where or expand our own knowledge base.

Look how quickly Canda16 has learned by asking and doubting and challenging others views, it's whats it's all about.

On the subject I'm not sure how much difference there would be between the b & r, I'm thinking about adding 2 x BXFX to make 7.1. The rears only deal with around 20 % of the sound track. But if budget allows matching would be ideal.
