Which XLR cable - Chord Cobra Plus or Chord Chameleon Plus?

Hi everyone!

I have ordered a new hifi system:
- Audiolab 8200CDQ
- Audiolab 8200MB x2
- Spendor A5

I have also ordered Chord Rumour 2 speaker cable

I need an xlr interconnect to connect the CDQ to the MB mono blocs. It is between the Chord Cobra Plus and Chord Chameleon Plus. Which would best suit the system and is the better cable overall? Is it worth the extra money for the Chameleon Plus?

How much improvment is it over the ChameleonPlus?

I use a 30 quid pair (of very nice quality btw) from a pro shop and can highly reccommend this option.

Hi,

I have the older models of each ( chord cobra and chord chameleon sliver plus). The chameleon added more openness and details in the mids and top end with a fuller bass. I also noticed it more airy up top, more separation and bigger deeper soundstaging than the chord cobra. Not a huge difference but a noticable step up in performance. Hope that helps.
