Which multichannel reciever/amplifier Denon avr 1909 or Yamaha dsp-ax863se

I have ordered a q acoustics 1010i 5.1 speaker package with 1050i front speakers, I was almost set on buying a denon avr 1909 reciever but after seeing the awards in whathifi I'm considering a yamaha, especially after seeing the dsp-ax863 online for £499.

Seems well worth it for only £50 more, but is it unneccessary for the fairly budget speakers I'm getting?

Also can anyone recommend others at £400 to £500 to accompany these speakers?

I was in the same boat. Had my mind set on buying the 1909 before going on hols. Came back - read the 863 reviews - found out i could get it for 500 squid so bought one.

Having had it for a coupla weeks now - I'm absolutely delighted with it. The best sound you can get for your money IMO. You're getting an amp that beats amps in the £800 class for £500.

If the reviews don't sway your opinion - try a demo from your local dealer.
