B&W 685 Theatre speakers with Denon avr 2310 or 3310 ? Or a yamaha dsp ax863se? Help!

Hello all,

I'm almost completely sold on the B&W 685 speaker package but I'm struggling to make a decision regarding the amp to go with them. I was considering the Yamaha DSP AX863se and the Denon AVR 2310 which are currently very similar in price. Any thoughts and feelings about either amp with the B&Ws? Also I've just been told i can have a 'deal' on the Denon AVR 3310, but will i feel/hear the benefits of spending the extra money on the 2310's big brother?? Or does anyone think I'm considering the wrong amps?? Help needed please.

The 863 is an obsolete model. The current equivalent is the 1065, with some good deals around at the moment. I personally think Yamaha receivers suit B&W speakers better than Denon. Then again, how good a deal can you get on the 3310? I haven't heard it in action, so comment on how it would work with you speakers, but WHF certainly like it!
