Hi,
I just bought a Roksan Kandy Mkiii. To replace a big ugly Yamaha AV receiver.
I used to use optical toslink to the AV receiver, but the Roksan doesn't have digital inputs.
I'm planning to at some point get an Arcam rDAC, but that's out of the question at the minute.
I've found a couple of cheap ones until then. One is £15, and one is £40. I don't mind paying the extra if it's likely to be a decent improvement, but what do you think? The £40 one says it works at 24-bit and upto 192Khz. My computer's high-end sound card supports that and it sounds just sparkley.
Do you think it's worth paying the extra for the £40 one, or will they both be a "much of a muchness" in that price range?
Thanks, Mike.
