Which Amp and Speakers

Hi,

im looking into getting an amp and speakers so as i can add surround sound to my existing kit, i currently have a SONY KDL W2000 TV, a SONY RDX860 dvd player , SKY HD and have just got a PS3.

the connections baffle me, i want to run PS3, SKY HD via hdmi into the amp , then output these into one of the two hdmi sockets on the tv. then somehow, and this is where i get lost i need to get the dvd through the amp and into the tv.

therefore , has anyone got any good amp suggestions and what speakers should i get. ??

also, i dont really want to spend more than 600 quid total for the amp and speakers (and cables if poss). someone suggested a Sony STRDG710 ??

What connections are available on your DVD player?

great, thanks for the feedback. ill take a trip to richer sounds tomorrow. the dvd player has digital co-ax and component outs which as you ay would go into the amp.
