Got a hankerin' for a Sony kdl32ex603.

Just got a price alert from Reevoo, now selling at Currys for 516.05.

Not so long back this set was going for nearly a grand, it's dropped about a hundred in the last two months.

Maybe everyone who wanted a new tv bought one for the world cup. Or maybe there's just too much choice at the moment.

Anyway, the question is, how much longer to wait before jumping in? can anyone see prices dropping further or will Sony pull the plug on the 603, bring out a new model and the whole merry-go-round begins again?

Not been tracking other brands, are all other manufacturers prices dropping in a similar fasion or is it just Sony?

Any thoughts?

Cliff.

I would say september/october is a good time to buy as most tv's will be reduced in price, i got my tv in september. manufactures will start to bring out new tv's in six months.

Thanks Slewis. I guess I shouldn't wait too much longer then?

Any idea on the average shelf life of a new set? They seem to have a pretty fast turnover. suppose it's just a case of 'right place, right time' to get the best deal.

Cliff.
