Conclusion ~ Spent last night listening to them for £100 they are very good value and sound better than some £250 headphones i have heard .
It's my first time listening to Planners so didn't know what to expect.
they don't sound better than my BW s so i shall be returning them today.

At least i know if i want better sound than i will need to invest a lot more but a good experience and learning tool.

I can’t see past my MEZE 109 to be honest. They scale up and down remarkably well with various sources/amps…. They’re comfortable for hours on end……. I’d have a look at MEZE personally. Price long forgotten when quality remains…….
Meze Planars available and they look sublime…

The Meze Empyrean Planars are pretty special!

You don't need to invest too much Shrek, the Hifiman He6se's are selling much cheaper now (less than half the original price), old model replaced by the newer and better He600.
Check on eBay or Amazon for good deals 🙂

The Hifiman UK store have good deals also.

OK lifes to short.... just ordered the JT7 at least with Amazon i can return them if i dont like what i hear .I keep you posted .

Thanks RT,Jason & Rev for your help.
So true, and it gets shorter every day...

Tried and returned the JT3 last summer. Later in the year, I saw a review that said the JT7 didn't look as good as the JT3, and of course, looks matter. I did like the looks more: I returned the JT3, in part, because I never liked the look, handling, or fit of suspension headbands.

I've been continuously curious about the planar push ever since it surfaced, but probably no more than that because I've enjoyed "old-fashioned" options for decades.

Eventually -last month- I decided to try another Fiio/Jade planar magnetic -the FT1 Pro, instead, and I'm in the middle of a 30-day trial. They are better all around, but I don't think -again- that the sound quality improves on my pair of HD598s with balanced cables. I'm going to push them this week and compare more discretely.

Hope you enjoy your selection.

This will probably my last planar try, regardless: I've also previously returned HiFiman 400SE and XS. These Fiio are better to me already, starting on look and feel.
