Whats the point of 100hz?

Hi, me again. Ok so i just bought new series 8 samsung. Withh 100hz turned on the motion is really odd and just doesnt look real. Some bits faster than others. So i have turned it off and it now completely flows normal. Whats the point of it ,if it looks better turned off???

Depends what your watching, 100hz can detract from fast action / sport etc.

Only seen manufacturer dems, which always involve slow pans over sheet music, bowls of fruit, book spines, etc..

Hard to tell so far.
