whats the better av amp

hi any thoughts welcome richersounds are selling onkyo txsr 806 at £399.95., as i was going to buy the onkyo 606 av amp from them at £339.95,, is the txsr806 the better choice.. or any other av amp that will be better than the onkyo amps at the same price..

Well the 806 is 2 models up so it should be better. At around that price, the Yamaha 863 is supposed to be brilliant and can be got for under £500. I have the Sony 3400es and it's excellent - not sure how much you can get it for at the moment though.

onkyo the dynamics for films is awesome, if u are unsure just go to rs and listen them both and make up your own mind.
