Steve, not sure if you're interested, but there's a few original copies of "Spirit Of Eden" on eBay at the moment.

Funny that, yes I am - just put a bid on

I won Laughing Stock last night for £8 after seeing it for £40 at Langley Mill records - is £40 the going rate????

What is a good price for spirit of eden?

These 2 complete my Talk Talk collection - love em!

cheers

Re the Talk Talk lps. I woud imagine £40 is there or thereabouts for 'Laughing Stock.' 'Spirit Of Eden' less because it sold fairly well. I haven't seen an original 'Laughing Stock' for a few years now. Both great records. The Mark Hollis solo album 'Mark Hollis' is very similar to these two; in fact it's even more muted and spare. Great songs of course. I would imagine an original copy of this would now fetch £40/50, maybe more.

Was it originally issued on vinyl? I know there was a reissue, but I've never seen an original copy.

I have the CD, and as much as I've tried, I just can't get into it.

'O' Rang are worth checking out for Talk Talk related music (Lee & Paul), and I did have this on CD http://www.cduniverse.com/search/xx/music/pid/1153451/a/av+installation.htm, but stupidly sold it.

Sorry it was a sealed US pressing £7.50

That's still a good price, but play it as soon as you get it, I had a copy of the reissue that was really noisy and had to go back.

I'm currently bidding on 4 albums on eBay, and I'm very keen to land all of them.

Spirit of Eden is original in EX/EX - fingers crossed

There's at least one more copy on there, and there's someone selling SOE plus 3 other Talk Talk albums too.

I've only got the 'Mark Hollis' cd. Never seen an original record.Yes, it's a bit difficult; I must dig it out, haven't played it in years. I play 'Laughing Stock' regularly though. Love that record and 'SOE.'

World Party - Goodbye Jumbo.

I don't listen to this album nearly often enough as each time I do I'm reminded just how good it is and what a shame it was that Karl Wallinger didn't go on to be a much bigger star.

I'm on the lookout for a copy of Goodbye Jumbo, I haven't heard it for years, but I remember thinking it was quite a classic at the time of it's release.

Quadrophenia- The Who. Picked this up for a quid very early pressing and plays superb not a pop or crackle all the way through.

Sandinista - The Clash. From the MOV box set. Superb.
