What USB cable to connect camcorder to a PC????

Hi mates from WHF

I have a brand new challenge for you which I would like you to help me with!!

I have just bought the excellent Panasonic HDC-HS700 camcorder and want to buy a decent USB cable to connect it to my PC to copy the HD videos into my hard disk without losing quality.

I've seen the USB cable that our colleagues from WHF have reviewed but they seem to be for audio only.

Does anybody know about a good USB cable capable to handle HD videos??

Doesn't matter in this instance as, unlike the process of streaming real time audio, the communication protocol used for transmitting data from the camera to the PC will have error correction built in to ensure data is transferred exactly. This can be done as there is no time limit implemented on transferring data from the camera to the PC.

If you can (ports permitting) you should try to use a Fire wire cable to transfer the files, generally faster and better from my personal experiences.

Ummmm...it sounds great not to lose quality during the transfering process though the USB/firewire connection.
