Hi All,

I know to most of you this will be a silly question, but what is the difference between DTS and Doldy Digital, my reciever shows either one or the other when watching bluray films.

thanks for any replies

Two rival formats from different companies.

For more, see Dolby and DTS websites.

You can usually choose between Dolby and DTS (where available) on the soundtrack or language menu of DVDs or Blu-ray Discs.

Some will swear by DTS as this gives a more dinamic sound, i find most of the time it does sound slightly better than DD more clear in its presentation and comes across louder, however some DTS sound tracks are much the same as DD alot depends on the DVD and Amp its going through, also with the new HD-Formats the DTS sound track is excellent, best thing is try both with a DVD that carrys both DTS and DD.
