Hi all

New to all this. But have extended my kitchen to include an island unit that will have a projector above it (boxed in from ceiling) to throw 80 inch diagonal image (tv, computer etc) onto a white painted wall 150 inches away.

Obviously being a kitchen, though I can disable any downlighters in projectors path, The wife still needs to see to cook my dinner!

Budget is £1.5k ish. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated. Looked at all good 'what hi fi' advice. But, don't want to waste money on top spec if I would never be able to achieve it due to environment. Rather have a good old 'tried and tested' that fits the bill!

Thanks in advance

Puzzled to understand why you need a projector in the kitchen, unless you're doing what a mate of mine does, has the projector in the kitchen throwing the image onto a wall in the lounge (the lounge itself isn't wide enough to get a decent size image).

thanks for reply

Just thought it would make good use of a large blank wall. wanted something a bit different from the usual wall mounted tv. Purpose would be so as the tv could be watched whist prepping food, music/videos could be played if entertaining, cctv could be viewed if the Jehovas are knocking on front door or family photos could be scrolling rather than shut away in a draw. I know the quality might not be too great - hence the question - don't want to waste money on top end if can't do it justice. Just want to know what might be a good option from anyone who may have come across this type of set up.
