what is profile 1.1 & 2.0 on BLU-RAY

just want to know what is profile 1.1 & 2.0 on blu-ray players,and what are the differences between the 2,pros/cons etc?

Profile 1.1 added a decoder for secondary audio and video (p.i.p.) and 256mb of local storage. It is now the mandatory profile status. Profile 2.0 is for BD live, which also includes the audio/video decoders plus 1Gb of local storage and ethernet.

The whole profile thing has been a joke from the start.
