I recall when it all started, it cemented in my mind, that Bono was a waste of space 🙂Watched the first two parts of the Beeb's documentary about Live Aid at 40 - still deeply moving stuff.
A lot of them are in that category.I recall when it all started, it cemented in my mind, that Bono was a waste of space 🙂
An Irishman who can’t do an Irish accent, that’s hilariously ridiculous…Finally got around to watching MobLand.
I enjoyed it , even if slightly ruined by the hype which it didn't quite live up to, and Brosnan and Mirren's Irish accents.
Bit like Sean Connery's Scotish accent....An Irishman who can’t do an Irish accent, that’s hilariously ridiculous…
His accent was one-size-fits-all, even when he played a Russian submarine captain…Bit like Sean Connery's Scotish accent....
Good film that. His accent was one-size-fits-all, even when he played a Russian submarine captain…
Looking forward to Mitchell & Webb Aren't Helping on C4, starting next Friday.
What did you think? We thought it was very disappointing. The only one that felt like it had any legs was the therapy sketch, which was (perhaps tellingly) just them - but even that felt like a poor relation to the good old days.Me too.
Great ensemble cast/writers they've got onboard as well.

We got half way through the 2nd half of the first one, but even that became an exercise in counting consecutive misses. We only managed about 1 1/2 episodes before we gave up because there wasn't many laughs to be had.
Shame because it had potential, I thought, with that ensemble cast.
