Watched Girl with The Dragon Tattoo at the local Cineworld, and a good film I thought. Better cast than the Swedish version IMO.
Watched plenty of Australia v India test match, quite a close game until the Aussies blew them away in the last innings. The next Ashes series will be tighter than the last as it looks as if the Aussies have some good young bowlers. I must try and get to the Boxing day test match one year, certainly warmer than here.
Also had a day at the seaside (nearly got blown away with the wind) and went to a Panto, Alladin. Enjoyable.

But you watched the Swedish version in dubbed English; bit unfair on the poor old Swedes

Stoke City v Aston Villa. Much, much more out of blind (and mostly deaf and mute) loyalty rather than any hope or expecatation of entertainment (or even the right result).

Loyalty to who

Mr Lucas is a Villa supporter. And hey, they got a point :)

Mr Lucas should be celebrating tonight after a 3-1 win at Chelsea.

Apologies to you then. Have you made the Arctic circle yet?

I watched Australia thump India for the third Test match running. It’s about time Laxman, Dravid and Tendulkar retired and gave the youngsters a chance.
It was 32 degrees in Perth and the same here, only we were in Fahrenheit and them in Centigrade.

Watched the first film last night, tried the 2nd, but asleep within 30 minutes.

Is it just me, or is the first 50 minutes or so of New Hope a bit naff?

I bought these to prove myself wrong, as I have always felt that they were hugely overrated, and after seeing New Hope, I have to say (so far) I haven't changed my mind. It's good, but only in the way an episode of Battlestar Galactica was good when I was a kid.

I'm not trying to be controversial, and I know there are some massive fans of these films on this forum, just stating my honest opinion.

Will watch Empire and Jedi (for the 1st time ever) later, then we'll see.

Watched Empire last night, visually it's better, and it's a much better film than New Hope.

Looking forward to seeing Jedi now.

Not sure what to say about this. We had a full house but it was Orange Wednesday.
The WW1 trench scenes were very good and the rest was well filmed etc but perhaps too much of a nice film for me.
I don’t think I would watch it again on Blu-ray or if it was on TV.
Don’t let me put anyone off though.
