WU LYF - Go Tell Fire To The Mountain

Me too, Dave, first listen tonight.

How're you finding it? I guess it could never live up to the hype surrounding the anti-hype, but I think it's shaping up quite nicely. Am going to try and get into Village Underground on Friday.

Manic Street Preachers - `Generation Terrorists` CD

This made a big impression when it came out back in the early nineties. A very strong debut from The Manics. Suprised the single `Motorcyle Emptiness` hasn`t become `bigger` through the years than it currently is. Still, on the upside it helps keep the track special as too much exposure on the radio can be just as annoying as too little.

Chris De Burgh - `Crusader` CD

Got this for Fathers Day yesterday. It`s one of his great early albums which I only had on vinyl up until now. It was released in 1979 and I believe most if not all of the musicians were from the Alan Parsons Project including the producer. Lovely album.

Nazareth - `Razamanaz` CD 2010 re-issue with bonus tracks.

Things were falling into place nicely for Nazareth by the time they released this, their third album. The scary thing is that I`ve just realised I bought this nearly a year and a half ago and it seems like it`s only been about six months!

Stevie Nicks - `The Wild Heart` CD

Just about her best solo album I`d say though it`s quite close. Be interesting to see what her new record sounds like which I believe comes out next week.

I bought this on vinyl thirty several years ago and it just proves time flies when you get older, probably sounds better on vinyl too.

It certainly does seem to fly by Lost! When you are young with loads of spare time you only have a small collection and when you get older you end up with a massive collection but little free time to enjoy it! Time hey, always the great enemy. Do you not still have your vinyl copy? Come to think of it I might look for one or two Nazareth albums on vinyl. I only have `No Mean City` at present and the rest are all on CD. Anyway, all the best.

On Spotify Premium. I saw RG many times in my youth, I was never ever left short-changed. One of my favourite artists.

This is pretty good, currently listening to Disc 2, the live one.

oooooooooooooooooooo may have to give this a listen.

Anyone familiar with The Blasters and Dave Alvin's solo work will have a good idea what to expect on his latest release "Eleven Eleven". It's very, very good.

On Spotify premium...

I was going to recommend you listening to Gillian Welch's new album on Spotify, "The Harrow & the Harvest" which is rather splendid, but I listened to it a couple of nights ago and now it's mysteriously disappeared off Spotify.

Anyway listening to this one instead...

Have you heard Gillian Welch's "Time (The Revelator)"? My favourite album of hers, which I had on repeat for about six months.
