Glen Campbell - `20 Golden Greats` CD

Don`t think I`ll ever tire of hearing Glen Campbell`s voice. I have a more extensive three cd collection but it doesn`t have `Where`s The Playground Susie` on so I often come back to this cd.

Arena - `Pride` CD

The band ex-Marillion drummer Mick Pointer formed back in the 1990`s and one of my favourite neo-prog bands. First heard them on Alan `Fluff` Freeman`s late night radio show on Radio 1. It was one of those moments when you are walking past a radio and you hear something that stops you in your tracks and you just have to listen right to the end to find out what it`s called. The song incidentally was `Sirens` which is the big epic closer to the album. Arena have one of the most talented and busiest keyboard player/composers around in the shape of Clive Nolan.

Justin Hayward and John Lodge - `Blue Jays` CD

A very pleasant album to listen to on a very pleasant day. Some great tunes on this one and an album I wouldn`t hesitate to recommend to people with an ear for good music.

David Gates and Bread - `Essentials` CD

It`s beginning to cloud over a bit outside but there`s no deterioration in the quality of the music today. These songs are timeless and David Gates must have one of the greatest easy listening voices ever.

Slash - `Slash` CD

We`ve now moved into the part of the day where my son`s birthday party is beginning and he`s a bit of a rocker so we`re starting with this one. When I first heard this last year I was more impressed than I was expecting to be. There is quite a bit of variety and for those of you who weren`t aware there is a different guest vocalist on each track. These include Lemmy, Ozzy, Chris Cornell, Alice Cooper and Nicole Sherzinger from the Pussycat Dolls!
