Hi there,

Just got the Jamo A102 speaker package now looking for an amplifier, I've heard they (jamo) can be a bit fizzy, is the 'bright' sounding Onkyo 606 going to be ok with them or should I look else where, Yamaha, Sony etc? no budget really set but obviously cheaper the better.

Running with Denon 1930 DVD and Infocus IN76 projector.

 Many thanks.

Just spotted this at RichersÿYamaha DSPAX763 ÿÿfor £299 looks like a good bet? ÿIf I went for this would it be best to run the HDMI from the DVD to the amp then Amp to projector to take advantage of the sound or run the HDMI straight to the projector and use another method for sound? I'm getting a bit confused.

Are you planning on getting a bluray player in the future? I only ask as my old receiver, the Sony STR-DA1200es can be got for under £200 and I once paired it with the Jamos. They worked a treat together. The Sony doesn't decode HD audio but is a very good amp. And if you did get a BD player with multi channel out, you could still get HD audio that way with the Sony.

As for connections with the Yamaha, you would want hdmi from projector to amp and then hdmi from amp to dvd player.
