I am trying to choose between two tv's that on paper look identical apart from a £300 price difference. They are the lg oled B4 sisters. Anyone able to pinpoint the difference between the LG 55B42 and LG 55B46 apart from hundreds of pounds? Thanks
I don’t know I haven’t really seen them together.
I dont blame you.Update. Contacted Richer sounds and the lg oled55b42la was out off stock but they were expecting new stock in soon. Left it a couple of hours and went online hey presto it was showing. Order placed for delivery in 5-7 days. Richer sounds could not spot any difference and i ain't paying an extra £300 without knowing exactly what i am getting
But you’re willing to buy the possibly inferior product without knowing exactly what you’ve bought?Update. Actually, LG’s own response ⬆️ sets it out nicely. Of course, if you don’t value the updated, improved features, it makes total sense to buy the cheaper one.But you’re willing to buy the possibly inferior product without knowing exactly what you’ve bought?
OK.
It’s always possible that LG, one of the world’s biggest TV makers, got their UK £££ numbers wrong by getting confused over relative specs and their values.
Anything’s possible.
We had the same debate over a special JL deal on the LG C3 early this year, knowing the C4 was due shortly after. In the end, went for it, and enjoy the PQ and styling c/w a previous Samsung we’d had.@Minkey1
£899 was my budget, believe me since i posted this thread (and even before) i had toyed with getting the higher spec one and my nightmare would have been that lg had just duplicated the oled55b46la specs across to the 42la specs and sent that info out to all suppliers. Also my existing tv is the lg 43un73906 led uhd so a larger screen for immersive experience, better colour handling, gamut etc at £899 were the comparisons i was making and i really only was trying to ascertain to what extent the 46la was better. My conclusion was that it was marginal and not worth it 👍
