Hey just seen someone have a webcam attached to a TV.

Got me thinking, since my dad lives in canada and my sister I thought it would be cool to video call them with my kids ect..

Whats the deal with these cams?

Been looking at this:

http://www.logitech.com/en-us/smartTV/accessories/devices/tv-cam

Is it worth it, will it work with my TV, LE46C650 ?

Never seen this before.

Thanks

NEVER MIND, ONLY AVAILABLE WITH THE 7000 AND 8000 SERIES, OH WELL, SAVED ME 60.00

Currently Samsung only supports Skype - which is what you'd need for this kind of video calling - on Series 7, 8 and 9 series TVs, so the answer right now is 'no'.

However, the company says it "is incorporating additional services into new releases and Skype may be available in other products as time goes on"

TheHomeCinemaCentre:The 2010 Panasonic range supports it as well.

Doesn't help our Samsung-owning OP much, though...

Darn, only if I got the panasonic! LOL

Thanks andrew, bit gutted, but got a laptop, so that should be ok for now or my PC. Or maybe just pick up the phone

Hi

Sorry to resurrect / hijack the thread, but Andrew or anyone else, can you confirm this works with the Samsung series 7000 TVs? The Logitech website only lists Panasonic models.
