Please help me choose a new LED TV for under £700

Hello there,

I am in the process of moving home and would like to treat myself to a new TV. For the size of my room I would like to get a 42" which I am planning to HDMI to a home media system so I have a PC with a nice big screen!

I have been looking at the Sony bravia KDL42W653 but for a bit more there's the KDL42W805. I quite like the look of these and was impressed with the picture quality of the 653 having seen it in Curries. If I don't really care for 3D am I missing out with the lesser model?

I am looking between £500 and £700 ish price range - Are there better alternatives to these? The Sony interface appealed to me quite a lot.

Oops, sorry just read you want an LED! Prices are good on there though.

Good price for your Sony above. Can price match that at John Lewis too. Don't know with regards to your question, I would look at a plasma unless you are a gamer.
