Panasonic 50CX802 for £799. Is it time for a new TV?

I have a 2011 Panasonic plasma TV, the 42UT30. While far from top of the range, it has served me well for 5 years and still has a great HD picture (I generally use the [Cinema] setting with [IFC] on minimum). However with the recent advances - UHD and HDR - I am wondering if it is time to go for something new. One problem I have is that my TV has to be positioned in the corner of the room (there is no other option) so viewing angles are important. I would like to go a bit bigger - maybe 50" - but I don't want to be spending more than three figures. I have seen the Panasonic 50CX802 for £799 recently, but it seems to have a few flaws and I am concerned that the viewing angles won't be good enough. Am I worrying unnecessarily? Is there anything else that fits the requirements and won't feel like a step backwards from my plasma picture? Or should I hang on another year or two?

Samsung UE48H6400. £499 at Richer Sounds. See, I've just saved you half of your budget! See here http://www.richersounds.com/product/tv---all/samsung/ue48h6400/sams-ue48h6400. Swivel stand, which not many have nowadays, 3D, which not many have nowadays, and has, very unusually, been in production for almost two years, because demand for it has been sustained. One of many glowing reviews here http://www.hdtvtest.co.uk/news/ue48h6400-201411133951.htm and another here http://www.whathifi.com/samsung/ue48h6400/review and lastly here http://www.homecinemachoice.com/news/article/samsung-ue48h6400-review/20626.

The OP wants to go 4K.

If you're happy with the TV, I would suggest to wait a little bit longer, and look for a TV around Christmas. HDR standards have only been finalised in January, and 4K TVs with HDR will get much cheaper by then.
