Wanted - Blu-ray player with SA-CD capability and 5.1 analogue output

It appears that unless i want to spend big bucks i can get a blu-ray player with SA-CD capability or a one with analogue outputs, but not with both.

Any suggestions at the cheapest player out there which will give me both SA-CD and analogue outputs ?

The only player that comes to my mind with both SACD playback and a 5.1 analogue output is the Oppo BDP-103, which retails at around £500 or less if you shop around.

I have seen some cheaper players but they either only play SACD's and don't have the 5.1 analogue output or the other way around ( ie have the 5.1 analogue output but don't play SACD ).

When i said 'big bucks' the Oppo was the first thing that came to mind. There's also a Marantz, Denon and Cambridge Audio which fit both criteria of SA-CD and analogue output, all around the same £500.

I was hoping i could find something a little bit cheaper.

Marantz and Denon do not have 5.1 channel analogue outs. And Cambridge Audio 752BD is £700.

Panasonic bdt500 might fit your criteria.at £170

You need to check it plays sa cd but i am pretty sure it has analogue outs

I've already got a Panasonic with 7.1 analogue outputs, but am looking for SA-CD compatibility as well, which i don't think any of the Panasonic range provide.

They're older models, replaced by Marantz UD7007 & Denon 3313UD. Both don't have 5.1 channel analogue outs. If you can find the older models, go for it!
