Hi! I'm new in this forum, i would love to have some tips about my hi-fi system i already have for about 9 years, My intention is to complete it with a decent/good cd player and a bluetooth connector for my smatphone.
Do you have suggestions? the Yamaha A-S300 series is out of production but i still find some used cd player online to match the same product line of my amplifier. Are there any relevant differences between the the A-S300 cd player and the new A-S303? Is it worth the money buying the new cd player of the recent product line?
What kind of bluetooth connector do you suggest me to buy?
If you can help me with some gentle tips that would be great.
Thanks for your attention.

Where are you getting your music from to play from your phone? If its from a streaming service,. You may be better with a streamer such as the WiiM Mini (or one of it's more expensive siblings). It is also a Bluetooth receiver.

How much are you looking, to spend on a CD player?

Thanks for your reply. I'm streaming from spotify, using a premium account. For a cd player my intention is not to spend more than 500 euros. Yamaha models on the market seam beautiful to combine with the amplifier i have but i don't know if they are the best choice or not. the Yamaha 5 cd player is very intresting. If you have any suggestion thet would be great. Thank you so much

If you're ok with the look Pier, I doubt you could do better than the if Zen Blue Mark 3 for your Bluetooth.
Thanks a lot. It's an itresting product. I saw on the market a range of price very different for bluetooth connectors. What do you think about the Yamaha YBA-11? Are there any options less expansive than the Zen Blue Mark 3 ? A middle range product would be good for me. Thanks for your attention.

I'm not the one to advise on Bluetooth, as I bought this one (strictly for non-critical, speech radio listening) when it was £20 - and because it was identical to the more expensive Logitech version:
esinkin Bluetooth Receiver for Music Streaming Sound System, Bluetooth Audio Adapter for PC/Mac/Smartphone/Tablet/AV Receiver, with on/off Switch https://amzn.eu/d/9eBCOeo
Price suggests that the Yamaha one should be better, though I wouldn't bet on that.

All I know about the ifi Zen one is that reviewers reckon it's as good as Bluetooth gets - as well it should be.
Depends how serious your BT listening will be (although people will say that if it's serious, you want something other than BT).

EDIT: the above link isn't working, but there's not much to see.

I'm not that familiar with Yamaha CD players. You are going to be paying for the complications of the five disc system. It depends on how much you want that feature. I would lean towards a Marantz CD6007 that is £349 in the UK, so should be well within budget where you are.

As mentioned, you will be better with a streamer than just a bluetooth receiver. The WiiM Mini is the best budget option. If you want to spend a little more the WiiM Pro + has more features and a better DAC. Or, for a little more Bluesound Node Nano.
