I have a bracket from the old system which is a Vivanco 25652 - vesa 400 x 300 max 45 kg max load on which I hung a Toshiba 42. Now got a sony 46 and I think (from tech spec) vesa is 300 x 300. Can I use the same bracket (as it has lots of different holes on the struts and hangs on a bar) and what size bolts do I need to attach to t.v. Think they are M6?

Thank you.

Hello MrsD,

I encountered a similar problem recently when i went from a sony 40" to a Panasonic 42" tv. Most brackets come with holes for various mounts and usually go up to a maximum size, i would say that as your first bracket was for a 42inch tv then it might just fit your new Sony. You can check the instructions if you still have them or go to the website here: http://www.vivanco.nl/lcd_plasma/wandsteunen/titan.html to see if your bracket is compatible.

The only problem i can forsee is the differing sizes of the tv's causing a compatibility issue so it's very much best to make sure before you mount that expensive new tv!
