I have a Panasonic 42PZ85B and our sitting room is 5 meters long, the TV is on one wall at one end and the sofa right upto the wall at the other end am I sat too far away ?

Thanks

Damian

You could certainly move a metre or so closer to a 42" screen. Do you have a surround set-up? The effectiveness of that would also improve if you moved the sofa out from the wall.

I guess one response might also be "why do you ask?" do you feel that you are too far away.
To achieve an immersive movie experience I would say you were. To watch a few minutes of the news then no.
Are you expecting to perceive the benefits of HD Tv? So it really matters what you are doing with it

Stormpilot, yes I am wanting to get the best experience from HD.

I am in the process of getting home cinema kit - Denon 1910, Kef 3005 surround speakers and a B&W PV1 sub and I don't want it to be spoilt by the fact that I should be closer to the TV, I am also considering purchasing the Panasonic P50V10, which would be considered more serious if it would help in the viewing quality.

Cheers

Damian
