  Very true. I think I take more time these days looking at who remastered it and where it was pressed than the music itself. :-)

  I never cleaned new vinyl and unless second hand , generally only give them a gentle brush to get the dust off. Wouldn't expect well...

  if that were the case surely he'd get cracks and pops on all records? To me it sounds like he simply has a bad pressing.
