Upgrading QED to Chord speaker cable

Hi all

I curently have QED XT silver anniversary bi wired to my front speakers.

Im thinking about upgrading to Chord Rumour or QED revelation single wired.

I have always had Bi wired wire, when i first bought my first stereo the guy in the shop suggested i use bi wire and i have stuck with it every since. Think its time i upgrade my wires and was thinking about single cable wire as you can get better quality cable for around the same price as bi wire.

I have 2 questions:

Am i going to see a big difference in sound or am i just being fussy? Anyone tried these 2 cables? what are your thoughts?

If i was to buy new cable, would i have to buy jumpers as well or can i use the standard jumpers on my speakers. Ive read upgrading the standard cable jumpers will improve sound quality alot. Can someone post me some links of where i can buy some decent ones? im not looking to spend silly amount on jumpers though eg: Chord ones which are over £100

I replaced my old QED Profile 4x4 with Chord silverscreen, and noticed a real difference....

Then I recently moved into the £18 per metre area with the Chord Odyssey 2 cable......only just before xmas did I put the Silverscreen back on to see which was best with my new KEF Q500's.....

The Odyssey 2 is still king, with more treble sparkle, and vocal clarity with extended depth in the bass department. Saying that, the Chord silverscreen has a touch more depth in the vocal frequencies, so i guess it's another case of being what's more important to your listening pleasure.......

Can you find a retailer that will lend you some?

think im gonna spend a bit more and get the odyssey 2. I only need 5 metres (2.5 each speaker) so its not gonna cost me a huge fortune
